What we collect

DeskTools serves small businesses, freelancers, and contractors in the United States and United Kingdom. We collect the minimum needed to run and improve the tools:

• Feature requests and waitlists: if you send a form on the site, we store your email address, your message, which tool you were on, and any campaign (UTM) tags in the link you arrived from.
• Usage analytics: we use Google Analytics 4 to count page views and a few simple events, such as when a tool finishes processing a file or creating a download, and when a form is sent. These events record which tool was used, never the contents of your files.

File uploads

The tools process your files entirely in your browser. We don’t upload your bank statements, timesheets, or quote details to our servers. PDFs and CSV downloads are created on your device, and the Time-Off Tracker saves its records in your browser’s local storage.

Tips and payments

Tips are optional. If you leave one, the payment is handled by our payment provider (Razorpay, or another provider shown at checkout) on its own secure page. The provider collects the details it needs to process the payment, such as your name, email, phone number, and card, UPI, or bank details, under its own privacy policy. We never see or store your full card or bank details. We receive a record of the payment (amount, date, status, and the contact details you entered) so we can issue receipts and handle refund requests.

How we use data

Feature requests help us decide what to build next. We may use your email to reply to you and to send occasional product updates. We don’t sell your personal data.

Storage

Form submissions are processed by our server and forwarded to Formspark, a form-handling service, so we can read and reply to them.
